At the end of December 2018 and into the new year, Brian Peck began having severe night sweats and pain all over, and a large lump had developed in one of his armpits.
By the first week of February, after exhaustive testing, Brian and Jasmine got the shocking news that he has Hodgkin Lymphoma at age 33 years old.
For those of you who are not aware of this disease, I have some background for you. Hodgkin Lymphoma, also known as Hodgkin disease, is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, usually found in the lymph nodes. It typically starts in the lymph nodes; however, it often spreads from one lymph node to another and can also spread to other organs.
Brian's full treatment plan is still in the works, but his doctor is recommending he get treatment right away for the next 6 months or more.
If any of you know Brian, you know how strong of a guy he is. He rarely is sick, hardly ever takes medicine, and lives an outdoorsy lifestyle with his wife and 2 little girls. It definitely will be a huge impact on him to be on all types of medication and to go through these treatments.
Physically, emotionally/mentally, and financially the treatments will be very overwhelming. We are asking for your help to contribute any amount you can to the Peck family to lessen the burden of these treatments.
