Help Brian Overcome His Hip Surgery Hurdle

Hello all, I’ve never done anything like this before and if you know Brian and me, you know that we are proud people. But we have learned that some things in life require humility and this is one of those times. The most wonderful man that I’ve ever known, my husband Brian Hubbs, needs serious hip surgeries. You might have noticed the way he has hobbled around for the last couple of years and we were hopeful it was going to be something easy to fix with yoga and physical therapy, unfortunately we found out that his right hip is so dislocated the doctors don’t know how he’s walking. I say it’s because he’s one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met and has learned to work through what I have seen privately as some of the most excruciating pain imaginable. But really, he’s just stubborn. He will later need his left hip fixed as well.

We have found an insurance plan that is very affordable and will cover the costs of everything once the deductible is met. That’s the rub. The deductible is high and going to be the wall that keeps us from moving forward. The deductible will be easily met as soon as we get an appointment with the specialists. But we need the funds to do that. Because we run our own business there is no PTO and the concern of paying our bills and staying afloat during these surgeries and recovery time is daunting. I’ve added 4 months of basic bills that will need to be covered while he recuperates. I’ve been picking up jobs painting that I can do on my own but he builds decks and that is not something he will be able to do for awhile. Anything our friends and family can do to help us through this trying time is more appreciated than you could ever know. We know that all things are possible with God’s help but we also know that sometimes we have to take action to see God’s plan work out. This is us doing that. Thanks in advance to all.
