Hello Friends and Family,
As many of you know, this past year has been one of the most challenging of my life. At one point, I truly thought I was going to lose my life. After six blood transfusions and a night filled with uncertainty, I woke up to the news that my liver was failing.
Several weeks ago, I received incredible news — I am healing. I have been granted a second lease on life, and with that gift comes a responsibility I feel deeply: to give back, to help, and to make a positive impact on those around me.
Many of you know that I retired from teaching and coaching in Texas. Recently, I’ve been substitute teaching in my local school district and supporting our Long Beach Marines football team. These coaches and players are absolutely amazing and a joy to be around.
But sitting at practice, I can’t help but notice the challenges they face. The program runs with only seven coaches (in Texas, I coached with eighteen!), and the players have very limited gear and apparel. They work incredibly hard with what they have — but they deserve more.
My goal is to raise money to help outfit these kids with team hats, t-shirts, sweat suits, and other spirit wear so they can feel proud representing their school and community.
I would be grateful for your support — whether that’s through a donation, spreading the word, or simply cheering these kids on. Together, we can make a difference in their season and give them something they can wear with pride.
Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping me pay forward the gift I’ve been given.
— Brian
