Hello, I have 2 friends, Brian and Angie Aleman. They have a 15-month-old, Brian Jr., who has HLHS (hypoplastic heart syndrome), multiple stenosis of the left pulmonary artery, CHD (congenital heart disease), a bidirectional Glenn shunt, angioplasty with stent. After that surgery, he had a wound that got infected and wouldn't close, right ventricular aneurysm, and hypoxia, which means a region of his body lacks oxygen. He has had 3 surgeries. On 6/12/25, Brian Jr. is having open-heart surgery because he has blood and fluid around his heart . Brian Jr had his open heart surgery today, now he in need of some blood. He is still going to need two more surgeries in order to qualify for a heart transplant. Bryan Jr does have to have a specific medication, and surgeries that are not covered by insurance. Brian and Angie would like to purchase an RV so they wouldn't have to drive so far, and their other children could be close to the hospital as well.
