Help Brian “Skippy” Malmrose Heal & Recover After a Serious Workplace Injury

⸻

On November 19, 2025, our dear friend, Brian “Skippy” Malmrose, a hardworking member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Union, Local #167, suffered a devastating injury at a worksite when a 20,000-pound piece of equipment shifted and pinned his leg.

Today we rally together to support him in his long road to recovery.

⸻

About Brian (“Skippy”)
Brian is known affectionately by his friends and work crew as “Skippy”, a reliable, good-humored union carpenter who shows up early, lends a hand without being asked, and identifies with the labor family of the Carpenters’ Union local #167.
Beyond the jobsite, Brian is a devoted husband, loving father, a loyal friend, and someone who has always prioritized helping others first. Now he needs our support.

⸻

What Happened
That morning in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, Brian was working at a construction site for the new tech/data-center when a backhoe crashed through a temporary wall. The impact caused a massive 20,000-pound piece of equipment (part of the air-conditioning system) to shift and trap Brian’s leg beneath it.
He had to be freed by coworkers using a forklift before rescue crews arrived. He was transported by trauma EMS to a nearby trauma center.
The investigation by the fire marshal and OSHA is ongoing.

Why We’re Raising Funds
This is more than an injury. Brian faces:
    •    Extensive medical treatment: Surgeries, hospitalization, physical therapy, rehab, and follow-up care.
    •    Lost wages: Until he recovers, his ability to earn will be severely impacted.
    •    Home & mobility modifications: To adjust to life while he recovers, temporary mobility aids, possible modifications to his home, transportation to/from care.
    •    Ongoing support: Pain management, therapy, emotional recovery, and support for his family during this prolonged healing process.

Your donations will help ease the financial burden on Brian and his family while he focuses on healing, not just paying bills.

⸻

How the Funds Will Be Used
Funds will be allocated to:
    1.    Any immediate medical & hospital bills (co-pays, deductibles, out-of-network costs).
    2.    Any rehabilitation & therapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, mobility equipment).
    3.    Lost income support (helping the household manage mortgage, utilities, car payments while Brian is unable to work).
    4.    Home & vehicle accessibility (if needed: ramps, stair assistance, vehicle modification).
    5.    Ongoing recovery costs (adaptive equipment, follow-up surgeries, long-term care).

⸻

Our Goal
We are aiming to raise $30,000.00 to help cover the immediate and medium-term needs. Every donation, no matter the size, brings Brian one step closer to recovery and relief.

⸻

How You Can Help
    •    Donate: Even $25 makes a difference and adds up when we all come together.
    •    Share: Post the campaign link to your social networks, email lists, union / trade contacts, friends & family, the wider the net, the stronger the impact.
    •    Encourage: Leave a message of support, Brian will be motivated by knowing people are behind him.

⸻

Why It Matters
Brian has spent his career building and standing alongside fellow tradespeople, now the community has an opportunity to build back up around him. Your support doesn’t just provide funds, it sends a message: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re in this together.

⸻

Updates & Accountability
We’ll attempt to post regular updates here on Brian’s progress: surgery receipts, rehab milestones, how the funds are being used, so you can stay connected and see the impact of your generosity.

⸻

THANK YOU
On behalf of Brian, “Skippy”, his family, and his union brothers and sisters: "Thank You" for standing with him. Your kindness and solidarity make all the difference right now.

Let’s help Brian come back stronger.
