Help Brian get the medical care he needs

Hi, my name is Barbara and I am Brian’s mom. Brian is 25 years old and almost died. Brian was admitted to the hospital on December 12, 2022, because of his severe asthma and the flu. On December 12 , he had to be rushed into an emergency surgery to save his life. He was placed on a machine called ECMO that would give his lungs a break so they could recover. On the 8th day, he had to undergo another surgery to insert a tracheostomy tube to give him the best chance at eating and talking like he did before. He slowly started to show signs of improvement and then underwent another surgery on December 27th to be take off of ECMO. The doctors, nurses, respiratory therapist, speech therapist and physical therapists have all worked tirelessly with Brian to get him where he is today. His sister Leeann, his father Guillermo and myself have been with him at his bedside since December 12 but Brian is still unable to be weaned off the ventilator. Unfortunately, Brian’s medical insurance will not cover his transfer to a rehabilitation center that will give him a better chance at weaning him off the ventilator and give him the aggressive physical therapy he needs. Please help us transfer brian to the rehabilitation center so that he can get the care he needs. As a mother I just want to see him get better and be able to live his life. Please help him. Thank you.
