Help Brian stay in the USA!

Kindly asking for a hand to stay in the US!

Hi everyone,

You may know me already, but if not, let me introduce myself: I'm Brian Urra, and I fell in love with the violin when I was only 4 years old! (really!) Since then, I have been studying and learning with passion and dedication to become the best musician, composer, and educator I can!

I'm originally from Santiago, Chile, but I've been living in Boston for the past 7 years (wow, time flies!).

During this time, I've been working and studying hard, always guided and supported by my family and mentors, for whom I'm very grateful.

In these years, I was able to earn both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees on full scholarships from Berklee College of Music in Boston, a school I was very honored to study at, because it was a dream of mine!

This year, I’ve had the privilege of teaching, recording, performing, and contributing to Boston’s vibrant music and education scene. Boston truly feels like my second home, and I’m eager to continue building bridges in this community and sharing music with new generations, and helping it reach even further!

I'm here asking for your support to help me stay in the US, as I'm applying for the O1-VISA (which turned out to be veeery expensive)

Your support will help me pay the legal fees for the VISA, which would allow me to stay in the US for the next 3 years and continue building my career as an artist, musician, and educator.

Here’s a breakdown of the fees:

Attorney's fee: $5,410 (ouch)

Filing fee: $830

Fast Processing: $2,805 (very necessary as I need to keep my legal status in the US)

¡Pidiendo una mano para poder quedarme en EE.UU!

Tal vez ya me conozcan, pero si no es así, déjenme presentarme: Soy Brian Urra y me enamoré del violín cuando tenía solo 4 años (de verdad) Desde entonces, he estudiado y aprendido con pasión y dedicación para convertirme en el mejor músico, compositor y educador que pueda ser.

Soy originario de Santiago de Chile, pero he estado viviendo en Boston durante los últimos 7 años (¡wow, cómo pasa el tiempo!).

Durante este tiempo, he trabajado y estudiado intensamente, siempre guiado y apoyado por mi familia y mentores, a quienes les estoy profundamente agradecido.

En estos años, tuve la oportunidad de obtener mis títulos de Licenciatura y Maestría con becas completas en Berklee College of Music en Boston, una escuela en la que me sentí muy honrado de estudiar, ¡un verdadero sueño!

Este año he tenido el privilegio de enseñar, grabar, tocar y contribuir a la vibrante escena musical y educativa de Boston. De verdad, Boston se siente como mi segundo hogar, y tengo muchas ganas de seguir construyendo puentes en esta comunidad, compartiendo la música con nuevas generaciones y ayudando a que llegue aún más lejos!

Hoy estoy aquí para pedir su apoyo para poder quedarme en EE.UU., ya que estoy postulando a la VISA O1 (¡que resultó ser muuuuy cara!).

Su ayuda me permitirá pagar los costos legales de esta visa, con la que me podre quedar durante los próximos 3 años en el país y seguir construyendo mi carrera como artista/músico y educador.
