Help Brian fight without the financial burden
Dear Friends and Family,
As you all know by now my stepdad is battling throat cancer, it was the hardest thing he had to tell us and the hardest thing we had to hear.
For the last few months it has been very hard watching him and my mom struggle hoping to find answers and cures from doctors and hospitals who thought may just be “panic attacks”. It hurts me knowing that all this time there was something underlying putting him through pain. Prior to finding out this news they made a huge move in hopes of a fresh start with easier finances. This is the worst thing that could have possibly happened. The stress of knowing he can’t work currently is what makes it all worse, he mentioned to us last week that he was going to take on a job interview but with the doctor visits and the episodes he is having with blurred vision, body numbness, and many other side effects we told him it was just not going to be something we would let him do. I’m not sure how long he will be fighting but I do know that we will all be right by his side. He is strong and I know he will get through this but in the meantime please remind him of the amazing support team he has. I have never seen him in this state and I don’t think anyone has for the matter. If you know Brian he is never the one to show stress or sad emotion, he is typically the one to pick fun, or laugh about us stressing on the little things. For the first time ever I saw him cry on Saturday when he told us and it broke us. We just want him to feel happy again, and see him return to his regular life. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to him and let him know you are there, any little thing helps.
