Help Brian and Vedette fight cancer together

Donation protected
My name is Daneen Troup and I am creating this gofundme for my cousin, Brian Moore, who is currently battling cancer. Brian is near and dear to our family and always focuses on making everyone around him feel special. You will never see him without a beautiful smile on his face, even while facing some of life’s hardest challenges. Please feel free to read more about Brian’s story, including a sweet message from his wife, Vedette Moore, about some of his favorite things in life.

Vedette’s message about Brian:

He loves to go to classic car shows, work in his yard to keep it beautiful and is an animal lover of all kinds. He has numerous bird feeders he will fill often. Loves to watch the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, winning or losing he is a fan. He has been a loving and devoted husband for over 30 years & has been my best friend & soulmate for over 35 years. He is loyal to his friends and family and will do anything for any of them. He has stopped to help people stranded on the road, much to my professing he stays in the car, LOL. He has worked at the same place for over 27 years. His co-workers adore him and have been very supportive of us since his diagnosis. He is at his happiest when we are just sitting on the back porch on our swing and watching the wildlife do their thing.

I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about him. He has touched many lives and will be dearly missed when his disease takes over and he is called to be with his maker.

Brian’s story:

The year of 2023 had many unexpected challenges that the Moore family would face. In January of 2023, Brian's dad, Bob Moore, passed away from cancer. Following this heartbreak in May of 2023, a car rolled off a hill above Brian’s home and landed inside of their house, which did considerable damage. While trying to recover from costs from that unforeseen event, that following July, at the age of 53, Brian was experiencing what he thought was muscle pain in his side. He went to the doctor for the problem and unfortunately was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The doctor said there was a mass on the pancreas and most likely already spread to his liver. He had chemo treatments for eight weeks that sadly were not working, but then started a new chemo that seemed to work for some time. He was feeling better, gaining weight, and it seemed like he was capable of fully recovering. In November, he experienced weight gain that seemed excessive, and the family realized that he was retaining fluid. He spent Christmas in the hospital with IV diuretics and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. Last week, when Brian was faced with the question of quality of life, he made the very difficult decision to be home with his wife and close to his family.

These donations are for medical bills and to assist the Moore family in any way possible. They have faced so much pain and heart ache in the last year, so we wanted to create something to help make this difficult time a little less stressful. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
