Final Update….After a long and painful battle with hepatocellular carcinoma Keith joined his parents in heaven on September 21st 2025 at 9:25pm

UPDATE…. AS OF TODAY 8/27/2025
Keith has began hospice care, the chemo pills haven’t shown any positive results. His pain continues to get worse his health has declined.

***UPDATE AS OF TODAY 8/12/25 Keith went and had a MRI DONE ON Monday 8/11/25 … Today his result from the MRI wasn’t good news. His immune therapy hasn’t worked and his Cancer has spread into most of his liver now.
The doctor said he could start him on chemo pill with a possible 30% chance he could see a change, but in the same breath he began speaking of calling hospice in. Brian/Keith told him not yet he wasn’t ready to give up. That he wanted to try the pills asap, even knowing there are side effects and only a 30% chance he’s not ready to throw the towel in..

THE DOCTOR TOLD HIM THERE IS POSSIBLY 6MO LEFT!!!!!!
Definitely not the words his family wanted to hear and I can only Image his emotional state right now., Knowing he could possibly not see his wife’s birth in January or celebrate another anniversary.
Holidays won’t be the same, days missed are already missed. And knowing his family must go on after him. Lord please comfort him..
just typing these words from my thoughts are hurtful my heart is breaking.
Keith doesn’t have life insurance or a burial policy. So his family won’t have the money as needed to give him a proper burial . So I ask you now to please help his wife and family with these final expense.

This is the story of my brother's battle with HCC-Hepatocellular carcinoma, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Hepatitis C.

Within the last few month, Brian Gordon (most people call him Keith) was sadly diagnosed with HCC stage 3/4.

The only treatment available to him is immune therapy along with some medication for the pain he suffers from with this cancer.

Sadly, prior to this diagnosis, he had told his doctor he was suffering from stomach cramps, severe cramps at times where it would literally take his breath away. Pain that made a grown man cry.

Fast forward to late April 2025, the cramps had gotten so bad he couldn’t stand the pain. On top of the cramps within his side and stomach, he suffered from his current lung capacity due to his COPD, which is between 27-35%.

He had begun to have hallucinations; he never felt his oxygen tanks were putting out enough air due to his chronic COPD, so he would open the levels more. Little did anyone, including himself, realize that by doing this he was over-oxygenating himself and causing carbon dioxide to build in his lungs. This landed him back in the hospital, and finally, someone listened to him about the cramps in his stomach and side, and the sudden swelling of his stomach. Before leaving the hospital, the doctor told him they were 98% positive he had liver cancer but didn’t know which kind at the time. After about another month, he was finally diagnosed. Now, with the knowledge of what the pain is from, he’s told there isn’t much they can do other than pain control. There isn’t a cure or a surgery that his body can handle undergoing.
The pictures attached to the fund raiser you can see his weight loss,
this loss of weight is in less than a year within just a few months actually.

So he is left with immune therapy and pain control. He’s aware he doesn’t have a long future ahead of him.

His disability doesn’t cover all his medical supplies, co-pays, protein shakes, nor does his disability check leave him with any extra money for gas to and from doctor’s appointments, groceries to feed his family, or repair the needed things like his car that is currently broken down. And now, his main air conditioner in his home has gone out, leaving him with only a 110 unit to try and cool the home.

Please, if you can feel it in your heart to help him, please know that all donations will be used to care for him and his family’s immediate needs. This isn’t someone who is seeking a handout; he’s simply trying to ask for help to make things easier on his family’s worries and concerns for his needs.
