In May 2024, Brian was having issues with his left arm, shaking and being swollen. He had gone to his doctor to have it looked at. He was told there was nothing on the x-ray of concern. We discussed as a family what was going on with his arm and suggested a second opinion.
In June 2024, he received a second opinion and was told that he has a large mass in his left shoulder. Brian went through a very difficult surgery. He had lost a large majority of the bone structure in his shoulder. He had to have a replacement shoulder put in. Following that surgery, he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. He has been courageously undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy treatments since then. Brian worked for ShopRite for 32 years, where he was a dedicated employee, but due to his diagnosis, he was placed on temporary disability. Unfortunately, after several months, Brian has exhausted his disability payments and no longer has health insurance.
Despite applying for medical and cash assistance, Brian is still waiting on the outcome, leaving him without the necessary financial support to continue his treatments. While he is doing well at the moment, it’s critical that Brian continues his care in order to remain healthy and keep fighting this aggressive disease.
Brian’s family and friends have been by his side throughout this journey, and we’re reaching out to the community for help. Any donation, no matter the size, will directly assist with his medical expenses and daily living costs as he continues his battle. Your generosity will make a huge difference during this challenging time, and Brian is deeply grateful for your support.
Thank you for your kindness, and for helping Brian stay focused on what matters most—his health and recovery.
