Help Brian Childs Heal from Metastatic Melanoma

My name is Jamie Childs, and I'm fundraising to support my husband, Brian Childs, with his healing journey from cancer.

In late August of 2024, Brian was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma that has reached his internal organs and his brain. As we face a courageous journey and navigate all possible treatment plans, we ask for the support of our family, friends, and community to assist with the mounting medical costs and time away from work. Brian has worked in the forests for half his life, as a wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service for 7 years, and lately as a helicopter rappeller out of Merlin, OR, serving as one of our initial attack resources for our southern Oregon forest fires. I say this merely to illuminate that he has spent many years being a service provider for the community and a now reluctant receiver when requesting support from others.

Please know that every penny will be going directly to Brian's cancer treatment and medical financial burden. We appreciate every dollar and are so very grateful for the continued support and positivity.
