My name is Brian, and just over a week ago, my life changed dramatically. I lost both my job and my home, and now I’m facing the challenge of starting over with my loyal dog, Brahms, by my side. Brahms is always happiest when he’s with me, but we will both miss the simple joys of swimming in the river and visiting the little dog park. Right now, we’re doing our best to get by, but the road ahead is uncertain.

In the immediate future, I need help covering basic survival expenses—things like food, cell phone service, Internet, a printer (to keep hosting bingo at Club Hound) and necessary monthly software, a pulmonary MRI, a visit to a hematologist, and Uber rides so Brahms and I can get around. I’m also trying to make sure Brahms has enough food and treats to stay healthy and happy. Unfortunately, I’ll have to move in with my mother, which will be a very tough environment for both of us as she is very mentally ill and toxic. I feel very fortunate to be able to keep Brahms, as we are each other’s everything. Your support would mean the world to us, helping cover these essentials while I work to rebuild and find a new path forward.
