Hello, I'm Brian Bowen. I'm 47 years old with bipolar 2, as well as a recent diagnosis of granulomatous hepatitis, a liver condition. I recently spent two weeks in the ER in May. These conditions have kept me out of work for nearly 3 years, and I am in dire need of help to stay housed and healthy.
My disability claim was denied, and my EBT was recently canceled. I usually don't know where my next meal will come from. My rent is relatively affordable for Los Angeles, thanks to rent control, but I still need help paying it to stay housed. I'm in real danger of becoming homeless.
My therapists tell me I'm doing everything right. I'm in a full-service program at Didi Hirsch and am working with specialists on my liver. I also recently completed a job placement program and am now seeking employment in higher education.
What I'm asking for are resources to keep me housed while I look for work. Please consider donating money, gas cards, groceries, hand soap, kitchen supplies, cat food, or a meal.
I'm asking for $7,500 to cover 3 months of living expenses while I look for work. My rent is $1,470 a month, and my full monthly expenses are about $2,500 a month. All funds will go towards my living expenses.
Please donate today to my living expenses and share my story. Anything will help.
Thank you so much. Your support truly warms my heart. Please reach out with any questions or if you want to catch up.
