Help Brian Borg Reclaim His Life: A Fight for Dignity

Brian’s Heartbreaking Struggle and a Glimmer of Hope
For 35 years, Brian Borg, now 49, has been paralyzed from a devastating T7-T8 spinal cord injury after a dive into the sea in Malta. For the last six years, his life has become a prison: confined to his wheelchair 24/7, unable to even lie in a bed, his body riddled with painful sores from constant pressure. Sleeping and waking in the same chair, battling chronic pain, complete incontinence, and the complications of syringomyelia, Brian’s daily existence is a test of endurance. But hope is on the horizon—a life-changing surgery, fully funded by the Maltese government, could ease his suffering and restore some mobility. To get there, Brian needs your help to prepare, recover, and reclaim the dignity he deserves.

Trapped in a Chair, Desperate for Freedom
Imagine the agony of never leaving a wheelchair, not for a single day or night in six years. Brian’s body bears the scars of this confinement: sores that won’t heal, deteriorating health, and an emotional toll no one should endure. Living on a mere €1,000 monthly government allowance, with no family nearby and limited caregiver support, he’s trapped, not just physically, but by the lack of resources to seize this surgical lifeline. To qualify, Brian must safely lose weight, a challenge he can’t tackle alone without proper nutrition, care, and guidance. Post-surgery, he’ll need ongoing support to heal and build a better life. Without your compassion, this chance could slip away.

Your Support Can Change Everything
We’re raising €15,000 to give Brian the tools to prepare for surgery, recover, and live with dignity. Every euro goes directly to:

  • Meal Planning & Prep: Nutritious, fat-loss-focused meals Brian can’t cook himself, replacing unhealthy takeout.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Expert advice for safe, sustainable weight loss tailored to his paralyzed condition.
  • Supplements, Vitamins & Minerals: Essentials to boost healing and strengthen his body pre- and post-surgery.
  • Exercise Programs: Specialized routines to improve mobility and health, designed for his unique needs.
  • Caregiver Support: Help with daily tasks, ambulance rides, and taxis to get him through this journey.
  • Post-Surgery Recovery: Ongoing meal prep, counseling, and exercise to prevent setbacks and build a sustainable future.
  • Custom Wheelchair: A UK-made, tailored wheelchair to finally let Brian sit in comfort without causing so much pain and discomfort as he as of now spends 100% of the time in it.

This isn’t just about surgery, it’s about giving Brian back his humanity, a chance to leave the chair that’s been his prison, and a shot at peace.

A Plea From the Heart
Brian’s resilience after 35 years of struggle is inspiring, but he can’t do this alone. Picture the despair of waking to pain every day, sores marking your body, struggles to do normal bodily functions, your bed a wheelchair. Now imagine the hope of breaking free, less pain, some mobility, a life with dignity. Your donation can make that real. A single euro, five euros, or any amount can fund a meal, a counseling session, or a step toward surgery. On €1,000 a month, Brian can’t afford this lifeline. You can be his turning point.

Be Brian’s Hero
Your gift brings Brian closer to freedom. €5 might cover a meal, €20 an hour of care, €50 a step toward surgery. Sharing this page spreads his story, touching more hearts. Together, we can lift Brian from despair to hope, help him heal, and give him a custom wheelchair to finally sleep in a bed. At 49, he deserves a chance to live, not just survive.

Please Donate today. Share Brian’s fight. Restore his hope.
