UPDATE: Brian continues to fight cancer and deal with the side effects of treatment while continuing to work thanks to YOUR generosity. Please continue to share this!!! He is incredibly grateful to each of you!!
Brian was diagnosed with prostate cancer a decade ago and was in remission until a few months ago when a systemic recurrence was diagnosed. Cancer has spread throughout his body and he is taking oral chemotherapy while trying to work and support his older brother, who lives with him. He worries about the day he will not be there to take care of his brother. He enjoys his work at Kings Supermarket but has to travel far in a weakened state to get there. The cost of uber is extremely high and he is unable to work as many hours as in the past, compounding his financial and emotional stress.
Brian and my dad have become close friends over the past two years. When COVID hit, Brian ensured my parents had access to groceries and shopped and delivered necessities. Brian's kind eyes and masked smile say it all...he has helped others in so many ways, even packing up and driving an elderly acquaintance across the country to move in with family. He still calls my folks every few days to see how they are doing. His generosity is pure as he expects nothing in return.
PLEASE, give what you can to help this wonderful man get to work, pay his bills, support his brother and ease his suffering.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
