Most of you know him as The Closer, The Hammer, The Top Grosser, or The Make You #1 in 90 Days Guy—but to me, he’s Brian, my husband. And now, he’s in advanced heart failure.

My husband, Brian Bailey, at just 48 years old, is battling advanced heart failure.

A trip to the hospital in March, after being sick since December, Brian was diagnosed in severe heart failure. He was immediately transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for more tests and hospital stay.

His most recent cardiac MRI showed his heart is functioning at only 18% on the left side and 31% on the right side, along with an enlarged heart.

This Friday, he meets again with the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC—one of the top heart centers in the country—where his next steps will be putting an ICD (defibrillator) implant to prevent sudden cardiac death due to the severity of his heart failure.

Brian will need a heart transplant at some point during his journey. Brian carries two genes that has contributed to his heart failure at this young age.

Brian is a proud, hardworking man who gave everything to the car business for years—helping others without ever asking for much in return. But now, I’m asking—for help maybe for some of those end of month late nights.

The financial burden has become overwhelming—medical bills, rental cars, gas, hotel stays, copays, and food costs while traveling back and forth from West Virginia to North Carolina.
