Help Brian and Kristen Through This Tough Time

My name is Josie Simons and I’ve known this young family since they were kids. Brian and Kristen are hard working teachers, great parents and help the community any way they can. Early Wednesday morning 8/6 Brian was awakened by Kristen breathing very loudly. Then her breaths became gurgling and she lost her pulse. Brian called 911 and started cpr on his wife. The ambulance took her to the hospital, she was emergently treated for a brain bleed, then flown by helicopter to shock trauma. She underwent hours of surgery to repair a ruptured aneurysm. She is doing better than expected but will have to undergo another surgery to repair or clip a second aneurysm.
To say this has been overwhelming for them is an understatement. And just to have survived a brain aneurysm rupture is a miracle. This road to recovery is going to be a long one. Kristen will be in the neuro ICU for a couple of weeks then after surgery she’s expected to be on the neuro floor for several weeks. A complete recovery is the goal, but it will take time. I know there are expenses that this family will incur. Like gas, tolls back and forth to Baltimore. There’s food on the go and probably co- pays. We need to pull together and help these guys. They are good people who would help anyone if needed. Please send what ever you can, it will go directly to Brian and Kristen. It’s a good thing to do for good people❤️
