Help Brian and Jazmine Stay Safe and Housed

INTRODUCTION

Hi, my name is Evan Dahlstedt, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my client and friend, Brian, a devoted single father, and his sweet 3-year-old daughter, Jazmine. Brian has faced unimaginable challenges while doing everything he can to build a safe, stable life for his little girl and now, they urgently need our support.

THE SITUATION

For the first 2.5 years of Jazmine’s life, Brian and his daughter moved between multiple shelter many of them unsafe. Despite the odds, Brian never gave up. He finally secured stable housing, and for the first time, Jazmine has a place to call home.

Recently, Brian landed a landscaping job, but he lost it due to the rigid timing of daycare pickup. He’s currently applying for assistance, but even with the maximum available support, he'll only receive around $400 a month nowhere near enough to support his daughter. While he's actively looking for work, his options are limited because everything revolves around Jazmine’s daycare schedule.

Now, they’re facing the terrifying possibility of eviction and a return to shelter life.
