Many of you know and love Brian and Janell.

In July, Brian was hospitalized for severe pain and swollen lymph nodes. His biopsy came back positive for mantle cell lymphoma, stage 4.

Since that time, Brian has started treatment with an aggressive regimen of chemotherapy. He is estimated to be out of work for the entire school year, returning in August 2022, has already exhausted his available sick time, and will run out of donated sick time at the end of October. After the six scheduled rounds of chemotherapy are over, his oncologist wants to start a bone marrow transplant to keep him in remission longer. Janell was originally on leave to get him to daily appointments and provide care at home, but has had to return to work. 

Your support will help with medical and living expenses to get through this school year and relieve some of the financial stress so they can focus on getting Brian well. Brian's prognosis is good and his doctors are hopeful for a quick remission.
