We have a man & his young son staying with us on San Juan Island who need some help. Brian was living in California when his wife, his son's mother, died. They had been married for 20 years & the grief he felt was overwhelming. It made it very difficult for him to take care of his son who is autistic, so in an effort to get on with his life & care for his son he moved away from all his old memories. He is the sole caretaker of his 6 year old son. He sold everything he didn't need & drove up to Washington State but at a motel on the way here, he had all of his money stolen. Brian is a very kind man & a very good father, he is trying the best he can in a very difficult situation. I would very much like to at least replace his stolen money & help him & his son start a new life here on San Juan Island. It would mean so much to them if you could help at all.
