Help Brian and Faye recover after a devastating house fire
Donation protected
Brian and Faye Landers, pillars of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community, lost their family home of over 60 years to a devastating house fire on Saturday 28 September 2024.
This house has been their home since their marriage in 1964 where they lovingly raised their 6 children and nurtured their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Countless families across the Goldfields have been at the receiving end of their kindness, sincerity, and selflessness. This is your opportunity to give back to a couple with generous spirits and enormous hearts.
Before retirement, Faye was a registered nurse who for many decades has provided palliative care for patients and their families during their greatest time of need. Brian was a career firefighter for over 45 years and continued to volunteer with fire and ambulance services into retirement. He was awarded an ‘Order of Australia Medal’ and an ‘Australian Fire Service Medal’, some of the most prestigious awards that can be bestowed on a firefighter, and this a cruel and terrible way for them to lose everything they have worked so hard for.
This loving couple have saved lives and comforted other people as they have lost their family members. They have cooked meals, couriered people in their vehicles so that they can continue to attend mass, offered donations, and left their beds in the middle of the night to help those in need. They have always been the first to give without a moment’s hesitation and it breaks our hearts that we now need to ask for your help to support them as they recover from this unimaginable loss.
Any contribution would mean the world to us. Please feel free to share this with people who have had their lives touched by this beautiful couple.
Linda, Nicole, Nigel, Shane, Miriam, Ben and their families.
