Help Brian Frazee take a break from MS reality
My name is Tracy, I am Brian’s girlfriend. Brian is 38 and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 27 yrs old. He is all heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He is the father of 16 year old twin girls. He was a very hard working man who enjoyed surfing, snowboarding and loved working in the woods with his father. He had all that cut out from underneath him almost immediately at 27. He has been strictly wheelchair bound for about 7 years now.
His MS is progressing. With every MRI they do, they can see his spinal column shrinking. This is on top of the brain and spinal lesions he has. It is strangling his nerves causing constant pain. He is also battling major depressive disorder because of everything he’s going through.
He spends his days laying on a mat on theliving room floor staring out of the sliding doors wishing he could be out back helping his father work. He also wishes he could do more with his daughters. He reminisces about all the things he used to be able to do but can’t anymore. It’s making his depression worse.
I am trying to give him a bit of quality of life back. I found a special wheelchair called The Grit Freedom Wheelchair. It’s leverdriven making it easy to use. This chair can get him beyond the pavement. It’s an allterrain wheelchair. It’s great in snow, on Sandy beaches and in trails in the woods. For him to be able to get back a little bit of the life he misses so much would change his world. He wouldn’t just be existing anymore, he would actually be living again.
Thank you to anyone and everyone who finds it in their heart to help this amazing man. I am beyond grateful and I am sure that he will be also. Bless you all!!
