If you’ve ever met Bria, you know one thing immediately—she gives everything she has to others. As a dog trainer, she has poured her time, energy, and heart into helping countless owners build better, stronger relationships with their dogs. She shows up day after day for people who are frustrated, overwhelmed, and often at their breaking point—and she doesn’t just train dogs, she changes lives. But now, the one who has always been the giver is facing something she can’t carry alone.
Her dog Auggie—her heart, her constant companion—has just turned 4 years old and has been diagnosed with severe Subaortic Stenosis (SAS). This is a serious and progressive heart condition where the heart muscle thickens, restricting blood flow. Just last year, Auggie’s condition was considered mild to moderate. At his most recent appointment, his heart pressure has increased to 200, placing him in the severe category. There is no cure. Surgery is not a guarantee—but it is his one shot at more time. More time to run. More time to be by her side. More time to live the life he deserves.
I want to be clear: Bria absolutely refused to let me create this fundraiser for her. She would never ask for help, and she would rather carry the burden quietly than reach out to anyone. But I know she shouldn’t have to face this alone. Someone who has given so much of herself—to dogs, to their owners, to her community—should not have to go into debt trying to save her best friend.
So we’re asking, on her behalf. If Bria has ever helped you, supported you, or inspired you… If you believe in giving back to someone who has spent years giving to others… If you simply understand what it means to love a dog like family… Please consider donating. No amount is too small. Every single contribution brings Auggie closer to the chance he deserves. And if you can’t donate, sharing this means everything. Let’s show Bria that this time, she doesn’t have to do it alone.
