Hi there! If you’re reading this, it’s likely because someone shared a link with you to consider donating to Bria’s (they/them) top surgery fund!

Bria is a 31 year old queer, gender fluid, non-binary, autistic Black jewelry-maker and poet, born and based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They’re very passionate about pressing human rights issues such as the Free Palestine Movement, BIPOC visibility and elevation, reproductive rights, and queer liberation. They are also an avid nature lover with a special interest in birds and an inability to turn down a beach day. We are so honored to support Bria at this year’s Woodstock Fest!

As some of you may know, top surgery is a major component of gender-affirming healthcare for many transgender people, it can have a profound impact on mental health, self-esteem, and daily quality of life.

Bria’s insurance will only cover a portion of this surgery, so we are hoping to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of medical & living expenses such as temporary housing relocation, hospital fees, essential post-operative recovery supplies, food costs and any other necessities required during the recovery period, which will last at least six weeks after surgery.

Any donation is welcomed and appreciated—even if you just have a dollar to spare, your donation is essential for Bria to get this procedure! Thank you for reading their story and considering donating ♥

What is Woodstock?

Grand Rapids Woodstock is a fully volunteer-run, single-day DIY music festival with a fierce dedication to helping marginalized folks, especially our QTBIPOC community. In previous years, the Woodstock team has helped to raise funds for trans folks seeking housing, gender affirming care, and we have even raised funds for a family in Gaza. We hope you’ll consider donating to Bria’s fund & attending the fest on October 4th. You can follow woodstockfestmi on instagram for more updates! ♥
