I'm Brett and this is my baby girl, Piggie. This is hard to do, but I’m reaching out because I’m facing a difficult moment in my journey as a student and hopeful future doctor. Recently, I experienced a health issue that set me back financially, and now I’m struggling to get caught up on my rent. Balancing school and living with this new diagnosis has been tough, and I’m doing everything I can to stay on track, but this setback has made things especially challenging.

I started my higher education journey later in life, determined to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. Every day, I work hard to keep up with my studies and move closer to my goal of attending medical school. However, with the unexpected loss of income from my health issue, I’m at risk of losing my home, which would make it nearly impossible to continue my education and focus on my future. Like a lot of people, I barely make it by paycheck-to-paycheck and a month of lost income is a huge hurdle to overcome.
