Help Brett Goodlett Fight for Healing and Support His Family

This fundraiser is for Brett Goodlett and his family during a devastating and life-changing medical emergency that no one could have prepared for.

What began as an emergency situation quickly turned tragic when Brett was improperly administered an epinephrine injection by EMS, causing severe damage to his thigh. The injury led to compartment syndrome, a dangerous and rapidly progressing condition that required immediate surgical intervention to save his leg.

Doctors have made it clear that if Brett had not sought medical attention when he did, he could have lost his leg entirely. We are incredibly grateful that he listened to his body and sought help when he did. Brett truly believes—and openly shares—that God’s timing and protection are the reason he is still on the path to recovery today.

Brett has now been hospitalized for five days and counting. He currently has an 18½-inch open wound in his thigh and remains under close medical care. His road to healing is long and uncertain, and doctors are unable to say when—or if—he will be able to return to work anytime soon.

Brett works in construction, a physically demanding job that requires full strength and mobility. Right now, working is not an option. The sudden loss of income has placed an overwhelming burden on his family.

Brett is a devoted husband and a loving father to two children. His family depends on him, and the financial strain from missed work, mounting medical bills, and everyday living expenses has become devastating. No family should have to face the fear of losing a limb while also worrying about how they will pay their bills or provide for their children.

Despite everything, Brett remains deeply grateful—grateful that his leg was saved, grateful for the doctors and nurses caring for him, and grateful to God, whom he credits for guiding him to seek care in time and for sustaining him through this painful journey.
