Help Brett Martinez Recover From COVID

At the beginning of August 2021, Brett Martinez contracted COVID. On August 18, 2021, Brett was admitted into Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. Brett remained on a nasal cannula from August 18- August 22, when he was then intubated and placed on a ventilator on the evening of August 22nd. Brett was transferred via helicopter to downtown Johns Hopkins on Monday, August 23rd. Brett was placed on dialysis and ECMO when he arrived downtown. Brett remains on ECMO, intermittent dialysis, and is intubated and ventilated. He has now been in the hospital for 33 days and has been on ECMO for 28 days. Brett has begun showing improvement in his lungs as of yesterday (9/19) but is still very critical and has a long road ahead of him. Updates on Brett will be posted to the GoFundMe.
