Help Brett & Lindsey Orgill Shelter from the Storm
My brother, Brett Orgill, his wife, Lindsey Doman Orgill and their two adorable little girls, are facing a tough situation and could use some help & love. (They are fiercely independent, and would say "no" if we asked, so we didn't ask.)
They moved into their first home just before Christmas and have been trying to get the basics to get settled. During the early morning hours of Feb 13, 2021, a huge ice storm took down trees and power lines throughout the area where they live in Oregon. The storm brought a massive tree down onto their house. The tree crashed into and is lodged in the roof, creating a number holes. They have no power -- and the rainwater is leaking into both stories of their small home. The forecast is for rain for at least another week.
This situation adds to stress they were already experiencing after a series of difficulties in the last year, most recently because Brett tore his Achilles tendon in January and had surgery, from which he is still recovering. He has been unable to continue his flight training and has not been able to work.
The goal is simply to help them take care of immediate needs so they can focus on repair and recovery. They have a long and expensive journey ahead of them. Any help you can share will be very immensely appreciated.
His Ven mo handle is @brett-orgill, if you'd rather donate that way.
