Hey all, this is not news that we are excited to share, but we aren’t going to be able to pay rent and several other necessities this coming month. CA is great in regards to some of its protections for tenants and renters. However, it still piles up ultimately.

Unfortunately, due to Covid, Brett's hours were cut to nearly nothing to which the amount of gas/travel/time it took rendered his wages practically useless. Not only that, but his work environment quickly became so unhealthy that it weighed heavily to the point of becoming nauseated & lightheaded, including anxiety attacks every time he prepared to clock in. Along with us selling off some belongings, Brett has started picking up door dash and plans to start an Etsy shop to smooth out his transition to a pending new job opportunity that hopefully follows through.

While Kay is doing freelance work + job searching, and while we are both waiting for unemployment benefits to process, there is no way that we will be able to make rent this time around without help.

As a small token of appreciation to anyone who donates, Brett has been making cute handmade soap bars that he'd love the opportunity to send you to try out (keep in mind that Brett is still learning this process, so they may not be perfect, and we welcome all constructive feedback). Brett will be making two different types to choose from which are either Rose Quartz or Coffee Oatmeal soap.
