Anyone who knows Bret knows he does not let being a double amputee hold him back. He is known for using his story to encourage, motivate and help people struggling with situations of their own. He is also a loving father and husband who would do anything for his family.

Recently with his daughters getting older, now 5 and 2, an increase in limitations being in his chair are becoming more apparent. Things parents take for granted, Bret is unable to do in a chair but so desperately would like to do for his girls. Things like being able to be on the field while his daughter plays soccer, participate in outdoor family vacations where the ground is uneven, and even having the ability to pull the girls in a wagon for various events are all simple things he is unable to do without legs. These new prosthetics would bring so much freedom for him to be more involved with the little things for his girls.

Bret has been using prosthetic devices and currently has a pair of legs that are outdated and no longer working. Unfortunately, the cost of new prosthetic devices are very expensive and insurance will only cover a portion of these legs.
