Brent's Infusion Costs - Family Time Needed

Hello everyone,

If you have had the pleasure of meeting Brent, you will all agree with us of how he has the ability to light up the room the moment he walks in and can put a smile on anyone's face. Brent is a man with incredible strength, positivity and resilience.

As some of you may already know, Brent has been battling a reoccurring tumour since 2013. He has had it removed, treated, and then it will tend to stay away for about two years before coming back which then the whole entire treatment process starts all over again. He endured countless rounds of radiation, chemotherapy, surgeries and all the terrible side-effects that come along with these treatments. But with every round of treatment, Brent fought hard and with his head held high.

Unfortunately, Brent's most recent scan has shown rapid growth of new disease and at this time, his only option is an IV medication called Avastin (MVASI). This medication is used to relieve current symptoms, prevent further symptoms and prevent spread from occurring. On this drug, he has been given six to eight months to live and with a rare possibility of living one to two years. Brent will start his first infusion of this medication in a couple of weeks and will have an infusion every three weeks. Each infusion will cost $900 which is not covered by OHIP or health insurances.

Now, more than ever, Brent's time with his family is very much needed. Brent and his family's time cannot be filled with worry about the financial cost of these IV infusions but rather should be spent cherishing precious moments and creating memories. Brent is a father, husband, son, brother, friend and so much more to so many! Brent needs this time to be with his family and friends.

We are asking for your support today to assist in paying for these IV infusions and give the precious gift of time. Time for Brent to be with his three-year-old son, Elliott, his wife, his parents, siblings, close family and friends.
