I'm located in Palm Springs, CA. My car is severely overheating when idling or stopped (likely a failed radiator cooling fan), and it recently left us stranded for 45 minutes at a local food pantry. I am terrified of permanently destroying the engine block. I am looking for a local mechanic recommendation who is fair, or a small amount of financial help to get a diagnostic quote so I can safely pick up food and get back on my feet."
