Help Brent Barger and Family with Medical Costs

Saturday night, August 14,2021, our lives suddenly changed when Brent had a stroke. He was rushed to Novant in Huntersville where they did a CT scan and found a blood clot on the right side of his brain that stopped all blood flow on that side. As a result, he was paralyzed on the left side of his body. They gave him a TPA which is a clot buster, but they needed to remove the clot ASAP. They transferred him to Novant Presbyterian in Charlotte, where he went in to emergency surgery to remove the clot. Surgery was 100% successful!!! By Sunday afternoon he had recovered all his speech and was walking. Literally a miracle!!! Monday they did another CT and an MRI and it was discovered then that he had a clot or mass on his main artery in his heart. After several more tests and CT scans, cardiology came in and told him he has a mass, that if it is not removed, it can rupture. If it does, it will cause internal bleeding and another stroke and it will be deadly.

Tomorrow Brent will under go heart surgery to remove the main artery and mass in his heart and replace with a man-made one. This is where we need to LIFT HIM UP IN PRAYER! We have faith in God that everything will go smoothly and he will recover from all of this. Please also keep their boys in your prayers as they miss their Daddy.
