My name is Brent Allen and I've been working in the art and framing business for over 35 years. Since 1995, I have worked and managed the Elsinore Framing & Gallery, becoming a part owner in the past nine years. We have a retail gallery and picture framing business that is currently struggling despite being in business for nearly 40 years.
In 2024, we welcomed the Artists in Action Gallery as part of our store, mixing a non-profit art group into a retail establishment. The gallery has been hosting events for art groups and artists for nearly 40 years and offers full-service custom framing as the backbone of the store's revenue.
Our goal with this campaign is to partially payback our gallery SBA loan taken in 2020 to cover payroll, artists and vendors. That loan was taken by one of our main owners and if the gallery closes, he will be responsible for that debt.
Since COVID hit, we have not been able to maintain profitability from year to year and need help from artistically-minded people to keep us alive in the Salem art community. Anything you can do to help keep this legacy business alive would be greatly appreciated.
