My name is Brenna. My brother has been going through some hard times this year. He has been in and out of the hospital several times in the last few months. He is back in the hospital with an infection in his body. They have to replace his hardware in his knee from a previous knee replacement, and the infection is in his blood.

My brother’s employer does not offer short-term or long-term disability, so there is no income coming into the household from his job, and his wife has been at the hospital with him, so her income has been slim.
