On November 3, we lost an incredibly caring soul when Carrie (42 years young) very suddenly died in her sleep, leaving behind her loving husband of 19 years, and their two active sons, aged 10 and 7.
Carrie was a force to be reckoned with, a strong advocate for what she believed in and an amazing person. She believed in family first, always! Her fierce spirt will be missed very deeply. As part of her extended family, I am honoured to have known her and to have spent even a short amount of time with her. Her infectious laugh, fun loving nature, and unstoppable big heart made for a truly amazing mother! She loved and was loved by so very many and this world will be darker without her.

To quote her husband; "I wish more than anything we at least could have said goodbye and told you one last time just how much we love you. You were our rock, the foundation upon which our family was built, the selfless one. Always giving, even at your own expense.
With what you taught us; we will make it. The house may have burned down, but the foundation remains. We will rebuild it, filled with memories of your love and the example you set. Filled with soccer, cooking shows and singing. I don't know how we'll get there, but we will...because of you."

Carrie always saw the depth of a person first. She only wanted the best for you and was determined to do her best to provide it! To that end, we, Carrie’s extended family, have set up this go fund me to provide much needed immediate financial support to her husband and children for what will surely be some very difficult months ahead. Funds will be also be set aside in trust for post secondary education of the two boys.
Thank you very much for your help – no different than what Carrie would have wanted, we want to focus on the legacy of life and love for her husband and two children. Your efforts and support mean the world to this family!
