Help Brendon (Aiden) Get Life Saving Surgery!!

Hello my name is Heather Larimore and I am fundraising on behalf of my wonderful, sweet, courageous, and incredibly loving husband Brendon Larimore (Aiden Pearce). For 17 years he has been suffering from a rare and severe version of a life threatening illness called Gastroparesis which means his digestive system is paralyzed and doesn’t empty, leaving food to rot in his stomach causing 24/7 pain and nausea.

Despite this, he endured while working full time jobs the next 14 years on top of receiving college degrees. He did commission work as a brilliant hyper-realistic painter and his work has been featured in international art magazines.

Unfortunately, his health started to decline in 2017 leaving him unable to work or do many things he once enjoyed and within the last couple of months he has declined so quickly and seriously that he is now hanging on by a thread. He is being kept alive with a PICC iv to the heart which administers nutrients to the bloodstream (TPN) surpassing the stomach and intestines. Typically he has an extremely limited and bland diet but in this past month he has only been able to consume about 200 calories a day on liquid diet and some days he can’t even consume that. Before his illness he weighed about 135lbs, in the last 17 years of his illness he has consistently weighed no more than 102 pounds, but in the last month he’s dropped down to about 90lbs. He had been hospitalized recently and needs round the clock care. He must have a walker to get around as he is too weak and sometimes goes in and out of consciousness.

There is only one option for him at this point which is getting a Gastric Electric Pacemaker implanted in him which electrocutes his stomach to work as it should. If he doesn’t get one soon, he most likely will not make it longer than a few more months. We’re hoping the nutrition will give him enough strength to make it through that surgery and hopefully will improve his health overall.

Unfortunately our insurance will not cover all that he needs and a lot of the expenses will be coming from out of our pocket. The gastric pacemaker alone is $30,000 and the only hospital that performs that surgery is out of network. He will also be looking at weeks of home rehabilitation and medical equipment rental. So we are looking at costs of upwards of $40,000-$50,000 but are just seeking any help anyone can offer, even just a dollar will be appreciated . This man has a huge empathetic heart and is the most loving husband and dog dad that I could ever ask for. He brightens my world in so many ways. His humor, silliness, caring love, courage and his wonderful spirit mean everything to me! I would be so very grateful for your help because I want to experience many more loving years with this amazing human that I call my husband and the love of my life.
