Hi, My name is Monek and we are starting a fundraiser for Alex Stewart, son of Brenda C. Malone. Alex is a bright, intelligent, fun-loving, 24 year old young man from Olive Branch, MS, who recently lost his dear mother, his rock, Brenda, to Covid19. While Brenda fought the massive fight since the end of June (with Alex by her side when the hospital would allow it), she unfortunately lost her battle on the evening of Monday, July 26.

Although admitted to intensive care at the end of June, Brenda displayed signs of a come back by mid-July. She was moved from ICU to a regular hospital room only to be returned to ICU and intubated. Nightly virtual prayer groups got together to send their prayers for Brenda's strength and recovery. Brenda was a healthy 59 year old women with no underlying conditions and no health issues. Unfortunately, she was not vaccinated.

All who knew Brenda loved her and were intrigued by her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh, and her deep devotion to God. Brenda instilled the love of God in her two boys Alex and Jordan at an early age and spread the word of God as she wanted everyone she touched to know Christ in the way she knew him.

"Brenda and the boys" as they were affectionately called, went hand in hand, and were inseparable. A truly devoted mother, she loved her boys with all her heart and they were her first priority. She was so proud of them and taught them to be respectful, caring, young men.

Sadly, this most recent loss is not the only loss Alex has experienced as a young man. His older brother Jordan Stewart, age 25, tragically passed away in June of 2019.  Brenda was in the beginning phases of grief over the loss of her first born..

Having lost his older brother and now his loving mother, who was his sole provider, Alex has a lot on his shoulders as he grieves while preparing for his mothers funeral arrangements , figures out where he will reside (as he shared an apartment with his mother), and navigate his future without his loved ones.

Alex attends Northwest college but has the semester off. He works at an insurance agency in Olive Branch and has a bright promising future with loved ones who have wrapped their arms around him. Donations to this fund me will go to help Alex cover the funeral arrangements, and costs to clear their apartment, and give him a jump start on his future without his mom navigating the way.
