Help Brendan the Brave live life to the fullest
Donation protected
On August 26, 2024 Brendan became ill and was taken to the hospital by ambulance where he stayed for 6 days and underwent surgery. Over the course of the following 6 weeks he was re-admitted 3 more times with multiple procedures needing be done in order to give him a fighting chance as severe gastroparesis set in. He currently now has a PICC line that gives him personalized nutrition and a g-tube that he must be fed by in order to live.
Given his health and complexities, I was forced to quit my second job in order to remain by his side as a single parent. The loss of income and added expenses for his needs and an upcoming trip needed for medication that may potentially help I’m humbling myself to reach out to others for assistance.
About Brendan the Brave, Beanie, Bean, my little warrior:
He is 7 years old. He is a boy who loves life! From watching his favorite dirt track driver Dillon cross the finish line, his favorite local band playing, camping, boogie boarding, legos, riding his scooter and trips to the beach. You will hardly see him out of the house without a smile or silly face.
In a matter of weeks he went from my fun-loving, rowdy redhead to a child who needs to be hooked up to forms of nutrition 21 hours a day. Through the pain and the lifestyle changes he keeps such good spirits most of the time but there are times when the sadness creeps in to him and he realizes that feeding tubes are the only thing keeping him alive.
As a mother I wish nothing more than to find a cure for him and give him the most memories I can in his life. So I ask for you to please support our family during this time.
