Update 04/16/2025: Brendan’s Next Big Step – Bone Marrow Transplant
We wanted to share an important update with all of you who have shown such incredible love and support for Brendan. After months of grueling treatment and hospital stays, Brendan’s medical team has determined that a bone marrow transplant is his best chance at beating this aggressive cancer.
The transplant is a major procedure and comes with a long and difficult recovery process. Brendan will need to be hospitalized for an extended period, followed by several months of isolation and close monitoring to prevent infections and complications. This next phase will be the most physically and emotionally demanding yet, but Brendan remains strong in spirit and determined to keep fighting.
With this new development, Brendan’s need for financial support is greater than ever. He won’t be able to work for the foreseeable future, and the added costs of post-transplant care, medications, temporary housing near the hospital, and basic living expenses continue to pile up.

Help Brendan Fight Cancer and Cover Life’s Essential Needs
Brendan, a 26-year-old with a heart of gold, has always been known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering fighting spirit. For years, he dedicated himself to caring for his beloved grandmother Karole until her passing in March 2023, and then he transitioned to become the primary caregiver for his grandfather John. Even while balancing his caregiving duties, Brendan always found time to work part-time and help support his family.
In January 2025, Brendan’s life took a sudden, heartbreaking turn when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Since then, he has spent weeks at a time in the hospital, facing this difficult battle head-on with the same determination and resilience that defines him. His love for animals, especially his pets, and his passion for books have been constant sources of comfort during this challenging time.
Despite his strong will to fight, Brendan faces an overwhelming financial burden. As a part-time employee, he has no job protection or steady income to cover basic living expenses like food, housing, transportation, and insurance. While his medical bills have been partially covered by insurance, he still needs support for his daily needs and to ensure he can focus on recovery without the weight of financial stress.
