I don’t know how else to say this, so I’m just going to be real.

My wife Brenda is sick, and we are stuck in a place where we know something is seriously wrong — but we can’t move forward without one test we can’t afford.

She has already been seen by a specialist in Costa Rica. They performed an ultrasound and found a mass in her head/neck area.

What they don’t know yet is:

whether it’s on the carotid artery

or on a main nerve

But either way, it is affecting blood flow to her brain.

And we are seeing it get worse.

She is dealing with:

severe, disabling migraines

dizziness

blackouts

confusion

Watching this happen to her has been terrifying.

The doctors told us clearly:

Nothing can be confirmed or treated until she gets an MRI

And that MRI costs $7,500 upfront.

Until that happens, we are completely stuck.

Brenda is not just my wife.

She is a mother of three:

a 15-year-old daughter

two young boys, 6 and 8

They know their mom is sick.

They are scared.

And Brenda is scared — not just for herself, but for her kids and what will happen to them if we can’t get answers in time.

We looked into every option.

The public system said it could take over two years to get the level of care she needs.

We do not have two years.

We may not even have months.

I’ve spent my life working, building businesses, and trying to provide. I’ve been through a divorce, lost everything financially, and have been rebuilding from scratch.

Right now, I am working when I can, doing anything possible to keep things going — but I cannot come up with $7,500 fast enough to get her this test.

I also have a son in Minnesota that I cannot abandon, which makes this even harder to navigate.

I have never been someone who asks for help like this.

But I am asking now.

Not for a business.

Not for an idea.

Just to get Brenda the MRI she needs so we can find out what is happening and try to save her life.

If we can raise this $7,500:

we can get the MRI immediately

we can get a real diagnosis

we can finally take action

Right now, we are just watching and waiting — and that’s the worst place to be.
