Help Brenda Recover From Devastating Dixie Fire

This a one of the last days she was working at the store to help the firefighters and her community.

Hi, My name is Jen and Brenda is my mother in law. Most people know her from working at Evergreen in Greenville, California. She is a kind, selfless, honest, loving, and overall a wonderful person. She loves her family, God, life, and helping others. Like most people from the beautiful town of Greenville, she lives a simple life, within a town she's lived in for many years. However, she, among many others, just lost her home and town in the devastating Dixie Fire. She knows things can be replaced, and is very thankful to have just made it out alive, but is still devastated about, not just her loss, but the shared loss of her small town. When she evacuated, she didn't have a lot of space in her car to get many essentials. She loaded up her brother, a dog, and two cats into a small car. She didn't really think that it would be the last time she stood in her doorway. In fact, she was one of a handful of people who stayed and worked at the store until the very last day to help out the firefighters. She loved and needed to help her community. For now, things are uncertain. She lives on a limited income and is unsure if she can or will be able to return back to work.

While she heals and figures things out, she is currently staying in Reno with her daughter. Her kids, Kari, Jennifer, and Luke would like to make sure she can get back on her feet and work on her new journey. She did have some renters insurance but not much. This is where we ask you for your help. She needs a permanent place to live, clothes, and all other household items.

She has touched so many lives and we hope that you can return this to her. We would all greatly appreciate anything that you can give. If you can't donate money, then please share this and keep her in your prayers. Thanks so much. Love Jen

Brenda, along with her sister, just being herself laughing, dancing, and enjoying life.

Here are the flames tearing down into Greenville. Its behind the historic downtown center, now gone.

One of the last shots before the fire engulfed the town. This is where she worked, the town grocery store. This store actually survived the fire along with a church in town. This will stand for hope for all residents.

A before shot of downtown Greenville. The building in the back is the hotel before the fire. The simple life.

This is an after picture of the damage and devastation the Dixie Fire brought. What remains of the hotel stands in the back. The town is destroyed. Only a few buildings remain. The aftermath looks like a war zone and not something you would think to see in our great country.

Thanks for reading this. I really appreciate you taking the time to stop and read a page from another persons' story. Thanks for all that you can do. Jen
