Hello, my name is Brenda, and on May 14, 2025, I was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma after being sent to the hospital. Just days later, on May 22, I had to undergo surgery after doctors found two tumors on my brain. Thankfully, both were successfully removed — but scans showed that the cancer had already spread to my lungs.

I am currently in therapy and receiving IV infusions as part of my ongoing treatment. Because I spent nearly two months in the hospital and am still recovering from surgery, I’ve fallen behind on my medical bills and living expenses.

I’m working hard to get back on my feet and return to work, but there has been a mix-up with my short-term disability, and I currently have no income while I wait for it to be resolved. In the meantime, bills continue to arrive — including doctor co-pays, MRI and PET scan costs, and over $3,000 in medical expenses.

I’ve always tried to stay strong and independent, but right now, I could really use some help. Any donation — even $20 — would go directly toward my medical bills and basic living expenses until my disability comes through.
