Hello, my name is Melissa, and I'm a long-time friend of Brenda Dickerson. With Brenda's permission, our mutual friend Derek and I are raising money to help alleviate some of Brenda's worries.

Earlier this year, Brenda was diagnosed with bladder cancer. She has fought tirelessly for months with only her family and close friends knowing. She is a hard-working woman who worked right up to the day of her surgery two weeks ago. She will be off work for possibly another eight weeks at least.

Derek and I would like to help her in any way we can so she doesn't have to struggle once she is released from the hospital.

In the 20+ years of knowing Brenda, I can tell you she is the best friend, mother, grandmother, co-worker, and human being that anyone could ask for! She would quite literally give anyone she loves the shirt off her back.
