My name is Brenda, also known around San Ramon as Ms. Bre. Since arriving in California at the age of four with my family, I have faced numerous challenges, from homelessness to hunger. These experiences have shaped my passion for helping others, especially children.

I have the privilege of working as a teacher at Building Kidz of San Ramon, where I dedicate myself to nurturing and educating young minds. My journey here began after a pivotal moment in 2014, when my parents intervened during a mugging and, despite my mother getting injured, it led us to qualify for a U Visa. This allowed me to pursue education and employment, crucial steps towards building a better future.

Now, nearly 21 years after arriving in the U.S., my ability to stay and work has become complicated due to recent changes in immigration policies. My ongoing immigration process, including visa renewals and legal fees, has become a significant burden.
