Help Brenda Brooks Replace Stolen Camera Gear

This past weekend I traveled to Detroit to work Movement Festival, a gig I was truly looking forward to. On my last shift of the weekend, minutes before wrapping up, I found that my camera bag including all my gear, except for what was on my body, was no longer in the spot that I had left it. This was an area of the venue that only staff, security and other photogs would have had access to. I quickly asked around as I had just been to my bag ten minutes earlier to switch a lens, but the venue was so large there was little hope. Luckily I had an AirTag. I saw its location begin to move away from the building. When I had reached its location I found my bag thrown in the middle of the street on the highway. Somehow it was not run over yet and they left behind my laptop and hard drives which were most important and for that, I’m so grateful. They took everything else that wasn’t trackable. My second camera body, four lenses, three batteries, and two lens filters total $7.5k. I'm very fortunate to do photography full-time but that makes this a major setback.

It’s a foreign feeling having to ask for help. Anyone who knows me knows I never want to be a burden. All this to say, if you are at all a fan of me or more importantly, my work, then anything at all will help me to replace this very necessary equipment and allow me to continue capturing.
