My husband Troy died unexpectedly on May 6, 2026. I am heartbroken and facing the difficult task of arranging his funeral and bringing him home to Virginia, where he will be laid to rest with his mom, daughter, and granddaughters. On top of the funeral costs, I am now responsible for all the expenses we used to share as a couple, which has made this time even more overwhelming.

Troy was a very hard working man and a loving father and grandfather. He was great with people and enjoyed getting to know everyone. He worked at the Iowa Events Center for 18 years and truly loved every minute of it. I have received so many condolences and people asking about a GoFundMe to help me and the family out.
