Hello, my name is Brena Williams. I’m making this GoFundMe due to my house being burned down today. I’m a single mother of 9 children with 17 grandchildren. I currently have 4 of my children living with me and 2 grandchildren.

We lost everything; nothing could be saved. We lost TVs, furniture, clothes, shoes, pictures, and all important paperwork. I was in the process of buying my house and had no insurance. I worked so hard and saved the money I used on the house for so many years. All I have is my kids. I was just trying to buy us a home we can call our own and have generational traditions and memories in. I paid over half of the money for it and had 3 more years to pay the rest off.

My landlord, Lordy Sims, currently tried to take the house, so we are still in the process of going to court over it. He was told he had to pay me my money back or give me until 2028. I paid 30 thousand on the house and had 3 years to pay the rest, which is 15 thousand. He has insurance on the house. He didn’t go through the proper procedures to sell me the house, so we are still going to court. Lordy Sims sells people cars and houses and tries to take them back or scam people out of their money.

We have nothing and lost everything. He was nowhere to be found, with him caring about the house so much that we had to go to court. My grandbaby lost everything he had; all of us did. I was in the process of moving until we finished with the court system. I did not get to move any of my belongings before the house was burned down. The house had no power on, so I know it was set on fire intentionally.

I’m so devastated. I lost pictures of my deceased mother, grandson, and grandmother. Some things are just so valuable that you can’t get them back, like those pictures. My daughter even got me a memorial night light of my mom, and it’s gone. I can never get it back. I’m so grateful that my children, grandchildren, and I are okay and safe, but I’m at a loss for words. I really just lost everything I worked so hard for, and I would really appreciate any help I can get to get me and my family back on our feet.
