Breña has been my rescue cat and companion for 14 years, and she means the world to me. Before the holidays, I noticed a small growth on her that quickly became infected. After several vet visits, her biopsy and blood work confirmed the worst: the growth was malignant, and Breña doesn’t have much time left. The tumor has started to bleed and the infection is getting worse, making her daily life more difficult and uncomfortable.
Despite the heartbreaking diagnosis, I want to do everything I can to make Breña’s remaining time as comfortable and happy as possible. That’s why I decided to move forward with surgery to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, her insurance, Trupanion, denied her coverage because they considered her diagnosis a pre-existing condition. This means that 100 percent of the donations will go directly toward Breña’s medical bills and the medicine she needs to stay comfortable.
I am reaching out for help because I want to give Breña the best care I can in the time we have left together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any support you can give to help Breña be more comfortable and loved in her final days. Your kindness means everything to both of us.
